Last Thursday 16 December 2022 at 7.30 p.m. in the Foyer of the Liceu de Barcelona as part of the exhibition 'Els camins de l'abstracció, 1957-1978' at La Pedrera, a lecture-concert was given by Pierre-Laurent Aimard.

The French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard gave an extraordinary recital designed exclusively for the exhibition organised by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera: "Els camins de l'abstracció, 1957-1978. Diàlegs amb el Museu d'Art Abstracte Espanyol de Conca". A musical journey through works from the second half of the 20th century that correspond to the American and European abstract art movements. A recital with compositions by Pierre Boulez, John Cage, Stockhausen, Morton Feldman, "Jondo" of Joan Guinjoan and Ligeti that will allow us to immerse ourselves in an exciting musical period, with a creativity in search of new sounds. A programme designed to enjoy the piano in all its expressions. Previously, there was a dialogue between the artistic director of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Víctor Garcia de Gomar, and the composer Joan Magrané.
